About Me
I am a new IT professional with experience in Linux, Windows, and MacOS. I currently work as the Helpdesk Support Specialist for the City of Santa Cruz. This position has allowed me the opportunity to work closely with a variety of applications, systems, and the people who use them accross all departments of the city. I have also had the fortune to work closely with and learn from more experienced IT professionals, system and network administrators, and business system analysts. I continue to be excited to expand my skillset, gain experience, and devolp my career.
In addition to all the experience I have gained through my job, I am also constantly pursuing education and experience in other ways. I have become a Cisco Certified Network Associate as well as a Linux Foundation Certified IT Associate and obtained the CompTIA A+ certification. I am also currently enrolled in the Computer Information Systems Associate's degree program at Cabrillo College. I enjoy learning about and managing Linux OSes, including building a custom desktop environment on an Arch Linux install which I use on my day-to-day laptop. I also enjoy learning programming languages like Python, Golang, and Rust.
